I’ve always believed that one person can create something meaningful. For me, that “something” has always been games. Even now, working in a completely different industry, that creative spark has never left me. I wanted to prove to myself that passion and persistence can carry you forward, no matter where you are in life or where you’re starting again.

RoadRush Runner evolved from that feeling.

The world I built isn’t a busy place like the one I live in now. It’s calm, open and quiet, the kind of place where you can actually hear your own thoughts. But even peaceful places have their own challenges. Some days feel steady; others feel as though obstacles appear out of nowhere. Yet there’s still space, colour and opportunity if you keep moving. That’s the feeling I wanted to capture.

The main character represents more than just a runner. They are someone like me starting fresh in a new industry, learning new skills, and stepping into unfamiliar territory. Every vehicle they dodge mirrors a challenge I have had to overcome. Every coin they collect is another small victory, whether it is solving a tricky problem, learning something new, or pushing through on days when motivation is hard to find.

The rogue AI vehicles symbolise the doubts, setbacks and moments of uncertainty that everyone encounters. And the Beacon represents the reason I began making games in the first place. It’s that spark I felt as a child holding a controller: the joy of creating something from nothing, the way games can transport you, challenge you, and remind you who you want to become.

RoadRush Runner isn’t just a project to me. It’s a personal milestone. It’s proof that you don’t have to stay in one industry forever, and that your skills can follow you into something entirely different. You can change direction. You can rebuild. You can start again.

This is only the beginning.
And I’m still running.
